The Counselling Seminar for the staff of Divisional Secretariat North was held at the Vavuniya North Divisional Secretariat premises on 25^th of septemper 2018. Dr. Sudhakaran, a consultant for Vavuniya General Hospital and a counselor for the Department of Cultural Affairs gave a lecture on the development of mental health. All the officers including the Divisional Secretary were present.

"International children's day and elder's day" was celebrated on 11th of october 2018 at  North Divisional Secretariat under the leadership of Mr.K.Paranthaman Divisional Secretary, that event organized by Department of Social Services. The Chief Guest of the event was District Government Agent Mr.I.M.Haniffa. The event was attended by large numbers of school children, who performed huge of events, including dancing, speech, singing and awareness screenplay. There was also an event honoring senior citizens who were human rights winners.

International smoking and drugs awareness programme-2018 held on 07/09/2018 at village divisions by Divisional Secretariat Vavuniya North under the patronage of Divisional Secretary Mr. K. Paranthaman. Divisional Secretariat Officers, Police Officers, Villagers and Students were present of this event.
